Crypto.com has bolstered the security of its NFT marketplace, adding several new features to the platform. Among them are the ability to whitelist withdrawal addresses.
In a Nutshell:
Crypto.com has integrated new security features related to withdrawals.
Users can now whitelist withdrawal addresses which should reduce any unintentional withdrawals to the wrong address.
There will also be an optional 24 hour withdrawal lock after a new whitelisted address is added.
What it Means:
Being a relatively new technology, NFT marketplaces have been subject to a lot of explorations, leading to millions of dollars being stolen. Security has become a priority, and Crypto.com’s commitment to securing users' funds will be very welcome. Other marketplaces will do the same and this may become a dominant theme in 2022.
