Goblintown Founders Self-doxx

Last week, the founders of the free-to-mint NFT collection Goblintown doxxed themselves, revealing that they were a collective of Web3 creators who by the moniker of Truth Labs. The founders posted a four minute video explaining how Goblintown was a community-first effort and that the doxxing does little to change that.

In a Nutshell:

• Truth Labs is the team behind the popular Goblintown NFT collection, as revealed in a short video posted on Twitter.
• Interestingly, the floor price of Goblintown actually dropped, as opposed to receiving a bump due to the transparency.
• Goblintown will have a presence at NFT.NYC events, distributing 1,000 Goblin NFTs to pre-existing members of the IlluminatiNFT and The 187 communities.

What it Means:

• Transparency can help build trust in NFT projects, so perhaps Truth Labs has taken the right step in wanting to grow their community. The fall in floor price is likely a blip if the fundamentals of the NFT project are right, and so far it has been hitting all the right marks.
