But there’s another aspect to our Bored Ape NFTs: Your Bored Ape doubles as your Yacht Club membership card, and grants access to members-only benefits, such as the bathroom, member-exclusive merch drops, member-exclusive treasure hunts, mutant “breeding” and, since launching, much more (such as every ape will be given a Metaverse voxel version of their ape compliments of our partnership with Sandbox). We are working on new ways to reward membership every single day.

- Holders of BAYC NFT are granted full IP rights and can commercialize their tokens to generate revenue.
- BAYC is the foremost blue-chip NFT project. They are ranked as the biggest NFT collection by all-time Trading volume (by opensea), and community (by NFTInspect).
- Yuga lab is considered the leading web3 brand and has demonstrated its capacity to deliver its roadmap. The team has already completed Roadmap 1.0 and released the 2.0 version. They have also had remarkable success in the NFT space, partnering with other well-known brands like Adidas, Animoca brand, etc, to add additional value to the Ape ecosystem.
Bear Case
- BAYC and the parent company Yuga lab, have been involved in some controversies in recent months, from the Otherdeed gas fee saga to the more recent legal battle with Ryder Ripps’ RRBAYC and alleged link to Nazis. These controversies, if not well sorted, could affect their public image as well as disintegrate her growing NFT community.
- The parent company, Yuga Lab, has launched multiple products into the APE ecosystem, all of which have helped to raise the floor price significantly. This could provide a scaling challenge because the price is already too high and out of reach for many, making it difficult for the team to onboard enough holders to ensure consistent growth. On the other hand, if additional projects are continuously released to spur growth, the market may become saturated and assets may eventually lose value.
- Finally, BAYC faces similar challenges as other NFT projects. Most NFT products and use cases are currently not market-fit. For example, metaverse development projects are mostly still in the beta phase across the industry, hence do not offer any real use case beyond the particular ecosystem. Furthermore, the token does not have an actual mechanism to generate revenue, price values are largely derived from speculation. This model might be unsustainable in the long term.
